During the webinar held on July 14, 2021 we presented our study “A shared corporate strategy to fight shrinkage“, carried out by Crime&tech with the support of Checkpoint Systems and the collaboration of Laboratorio per la Sicurezza. It aims to outline the key actions to be implemented to create a strategy shared at all company levels for managing and contrasting company inventory differences, in opposition to the very common perception among companies that this phenomenon represents just marginal problem and is to be attributed only to loss prevention-oriented functions.
In fact, it is essential to consider that the negative consequences of shrinkage go beyond the cost of missing goods and can result in stock outages, producing lost sales and a worsening of the customer shopping experience.
