The study analysed the issue of shrinkage in the large-scale retail trade (GDO) sector in Italy. Unlike previous analyses, this does not focus on the numerical dimension of the phenomenon but on the approaches and strategies that companies adopt to detect, prevent and combat losses of both criminal and operational nature. This study, conducted by Crime & tech with the support of Checkpoint Systems, represents a further step towards the identification of standards and best practices that help companies and security suppliers to better frame and monitor this particularly impacting phenomenon both from an economic and a business continuity point of view.
