Costs of Serious and Organised Crime in Australia

Crime&tech was chosen by the Australian Crime Commission (ACIC) of the Australian Government to support the development of a methodology and the analysis of the data for the study 'Costs of Serious and Organised Crime in Australia'. The project is the first national assessment in this field in Australia, and one of the first estimates of organised crime costs at international level, which could be distinguished depending on the type of offence and the nature of the consequences produced. This study is crucial to assist the government and other public institutions in identifying the areas suffering the greatest impact of organised crime, and planning more precisely future policies and interventions in this field. Furthermore, it is a methodological milestone for other countries and governments interested in conducting similar assessments.
